Looking for the right mounting screws
Greetings. Not much of a blog but an inquiry. I own a Car Works O scale diesel (VO 1000) made in Korea. There are no chassis to body adherence screws except for one that is struggling to hold the entire body down! There are six possible spots where the screws go through the chassis into the body. These might be metric screws. Does anyone know what screws are required for this make engine? I believe Car Works is no longer in business.
Much thanks for the info.

Quick rail code size question.
Might someone tell me what the code is of a rail height of 0.059 inch on a caliper?
Thank you.

MEC 44 tonner number eleven, phase 1-c, is an interesting early livery with distinctly different markings.
i will attempt to upload a photo here.
Painting PC ties
I have made a few Fast Tracks turnouts. I will be staining my wooden ties . The color of the ties used is a grey/brown tie & bridge stain from micromark. Now those shiny wonder PC ties need to painted. Do they take paint and if so as I am not doing a airbrush application, what have you kind fellows used?
Any help certainly appreciated.
Thanks. Transfer.
Brass tarnish and painting.
I understand that there is a process for preparation of brass for painting. Now my question is what does one do about tarnish? I am new to the possibility of painting my first bare brass engine, however I am not sure what to do about tarnish. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you kindly.

Looking for SOUND recommendations
I have the following two silent engines. I am planning to convert to DCC and would like to know if anyone has suggestions for sound in the following.
1) NYC T-3
2) LIRR BB-3 box cab electrics
I have heard the generic sounds for these via three rail examples. Not being too impressed might there be better more appropriate sounds?
I have two rail O scale versions.
Thank you for any help or leads,
Sincerely, Transfer.
Frog size in a crossing track
Greetings and salutations to all.
I was looking over a printable fast tracks template for a 19 degree crossing diamond. Having successfully built a double slip turnout I am encouraged to attempt the 19 degree crossing which I could utilize. I am however perplexed as to what size # frog one would build. Might any tecnocrate here be able to facilitate my inquiry? I would be happy to attempt the build. I have access to the larger frog helper # 6 thru 8 size frog tool which in my minds eye is more appropriate.

Which comes first, the chicken or the egg?
Hi, I am awestruck by the volume of information useful in any scale. My intentions to build a new switching waterfront layout shelf type has been haunting me since last Easter when the old one was dismantled and dumped. So, perplexed by a couple of possibilities I propose a question that may have passed the novice cerebellum as well as complicated OCD modeller where delay of design may be an issue! Whew, am I alright?
