Hey folks.

I've taken some time off from posting to my blog here on MRH to focus on some things that needed taking care of.  But I've managed to do a little modeling in the meanwhile and I'm going to share my progress with you.  I've been making progress on the Eldorado module of the Chicago and Northwestern Marshline.  So much so I've actually laid some track and started to put in foam.

I took some time off of the Marshline this week to enter a YouTube weathering contest through the Ron's Trains N Things YouTube channel.  I let my channel viewers pick which car I would enter and they chose a Walthers 40' Tank Car.  I had never weathered a tank car before, so I knew that this would be an adventure.

I've gone back and revamped my railroad, the CNW Marshline Subdivision.  I took a real hard look at what I had built before and what the plan is now.  I weighed out my limitations as well as my Givens and Druthers to create a plan I really wanted, and most importantly could build without getting stuck or frustrated.

We've started construction on the CNW Marshline model railroad! I've gotten some of the L-Girders up and the base of the helix built.  I've created a video that shows my progress.  As always, comments and feedback encouraged!

Hey everyone and Happy Thanksgiving!

In my latest video, I weather an HO Scale boxcar without using an airbrush.  This box car is a NMRA Winnebagoland Division Club car and its very close to some Milwaukee Road box cars that used to travel on the Marshline. 

We'll use prototype photos to come up with a plan and add a very heavy dose of weathering to an Accurail Box car!

Progress on the Marshline sub has been slow as of late.  Its been difficult getting the ceiling painted and its really chewing into my limited hobby time.  My latest video shows my progress and also talks about getting started on my model railroad.  I’d love to hear what you think of the progress so far!  Let me know what you think!
