Well my 2 weeks off has come and gone and I am back on the road for another tour at work. I feel like some good progress was made on the layout with some positive results. I wanted to figure out some building designs and get a feel on how I can create what is in my head.

Well I am back at it again. I had a few supplies waiting for me when I returned for my trip and was able to make some progress. As I said previously, I really want to try and scratch build my primary structures. With that being said I didn't want to dive right into my complex manufacturing facility to the far left of the layout. To learn the ways of styrere I have been working on a simple concrete warehouse. I still have to work on the building specific details.

This is my first attempt at a "build blog". I have bin vicariously enjoying the hobby through YouTube for the past 6-7 years. It is amazing how you can learn so much and really enjoy peoples wonderful layouts through the internet. Now that I am finally able to get back into the hobby, I am going to start with a small switching layout. This will primarily be an opportunity to really dial in so many modeling techniques I have learned online.
