Ok so for the past few years I have made static models for myself. My RR per say has always sat in storage as I do not have the room at home to build a large layout. 

So I recently noticed this TOMA movement and realized it would be much like my planned 3X5 movement. The 3X5 is like more cowbell in the band. An extra foot each way give more room for my little land of plenty.

Ok, over the years I have built many many wood kits. To many of you that might cause you to wince, if but just a little bit. Why is that?

For years and years, I had no clue. I have always built, what I consider modern kits. I had never heard of Floquil paints. My niche has always been supported by newer manufacturers, the older companies often ignore me. For this reason, I learned to build models with Acrylic paint.

Recently I was sent a kit, It reminded me of a kit I bought from the 90's. Well, let's hear your stories first.

Fresh in from the Post Office with another laser cut wood kit. I am going to build some parts of this kit on camera. But not all of it. Just the parts where I am doing a technique unique to my building.

First note is, if you built one of the early ITLA kits, and found the instructions,... lacking. The new kits have much, much better instructions.

Short and sweet, thought I'd share the report video I got.

After seeing the details of the TOMA layout concept. I realized that I have always built in a TOMA style myself. On one hand my dioramas are static models and I agree with that. But my other larger modules are all TOMA candidates.

I say experimenting because these trees did not get a glycerin wash to preserve the plant material.,But all in all, next year when these babys get harvested, I have a plan.
