I am trying to combine proto 87 frogs and cnc points with fast tracks templates code 55 #6 curved with p.c. ties where needed. No jigs.(except home made) I am having trouble gauging the 1 piece closure/point rails. Am I asking for grief mixing these 2 systems? I am using a n.m.r.a. gauge. any help would be appreciated.

Sorry I never saw where you mentioned you were working in N scale. Now that I look back I see you did mention code 55, I missed it before.
No, like many other products the CV turnout ties are not available in N.
That's one of the great things about HO, so much more readily available!

I haven't used the proto shop N scale parts but they should be fine once you figure out how to work with them.Do the points come longer than standard point length? or how are you connecting them to the closure rails without a hinge?..DaveB
