Please show us your Ten-Wheelers and Twelve-Wheelers

This is the sixth entry to the "Please show us" series and will be focusing on non-articulate steamers with a four-wheel lead truck and no trailing truck (excluding the 4-4-0 which we discussed previously).  As previously mentioned, this sixth entry to the series will be posted outside of the blog format.  It will also determine whether or not I continue the series.

Well, its officially been (almost) a month since I started this series, and to celebrate that achievement, we have moved on from smaller locomotives (for the time being) to focus on the great articulate locomotives of the world.  I know what you're all thinking.  "Finally!  About time we get to show something B

IAIS's West End - Some love for an old switcher

Iowa Interstate SW1200 250 (ex-Texas & Pacific 1299) holds a special place in my heart since it was born just a month after me and was the only switcher owned by the railroad.  While it started out working in Blue Island (Chicago), it later moved to Rock Island and then, in 2003, to Council Bluffs, where it lived out its final years with the IAIS before being sold in 2007.
