Locos - Rolling stock (general)
Hopper Manufacturer ID?
I need help identifying some rolling stock I picked up at a train show. The back story was the previous owner would take the kits (vendor I.D.'d as Athearn) out of their box, assemble them with new Kadee couplers, put them back in the box and put them on a self. The problem is the couplers are not correct and causing issues. I checked with the Kadee conversion chart to see if Athearn hoppers required something different than the boxcars I got, but didn't get any good info. Before I get too crazy, I thought I'd throw this out there.

RailPro users - How do you think Notching should work?
I've been playing around with my RailPro and although I had some problems getting Manual Notching to work properly, I now have it working.
In my mind, I'd like Notching to work differently.
...so I am posting this to get other users feedback and hopefully have something useful to present to Ring Engineering as a possible feature enhancement.
Best place to buy/sell brass locos and caboose(s) (cabeese?)
Hi, guys-
Looking for an online source for selling brass steam engines and caboose; my (late) uncle has some that he left for me, and unfortunately are not what I am interested in. I'm a modern diesel guy! But, I would like to find out more about them and their worth. So, any place I can look online, beside eBay?
Thanks.

Pullman Palace Car
I am looking at scratch building a private car that Sloss Sheffield Steel & Iron owned, "Alabama." It was rebuilt by the Southern Railway in 1903 from Pullman "Cleopatra."
What I am trying to figure out is what size boards were used for the sides? The car was T&G construction. I can't see in a picture clear enough to count the boards. The car is 63' 10" end to end, not over the buffers.
Does anyone make the windows for Palace cars?

RailPro comes to the BNML - First Thoughts
This weekend I setup my RailPro controller and 1 locomotive. Overall, I am very impressed with the Railpro system.
Installation was straight forward. Usage and configuration is super easy.
I have a few issues to figure out yet; mostly sound related things that don't make sense, but overall, setting this thing up has been a fine experience.

Strange Car
I saw a strange piece of rolling stock this afternoon, and I am curious what it is and what it is used for. I have enclosed a picture of it.

Dipping a toe...
So I am officially dipping my toe into the dark pool of soul sucking model railroading that is On30 (which seems to be a trend, based on other posts), as I bid on and won a two truck shay on eBay.
General questions about the loco, as I await it's delivery.
