Problem assembling a resin kit

A friend has asked me to build a couple of Westerfield covered hoppers for him. I am trying to use CA as the instructions recommend but the glue is not holding the parts together. I thought there may be some mold release on the parts and they need to be cleaned. However, some of the parts are very small and I am afraid of breaking them or loosing them if I try to wash them.

Any words of wisdom on gluing the kits or washing them would be appreciated.

Peoria & Southern Tank Car

Peoria & Southern Tank Car

To All: I lettered this milk tank car for my Facebook friend Joel Pendegraft's freelanced Peoria Southern Railway. I did not weather the car as milk companies tried to keep these cars clean. This car will be routed to the Twin Pines Dairy plant on my layout. Who remembers Twin Pines Dairy out of Detroit, Michigan? Photo by Elvin Howland. Yours, Elvin Howland/E. Getting Back to My Trains (Upgrading Old Stuff, FW&DC in 1930s)

I'VE GOT TO GET GOING

Here I am at age 75 - I have no layout and I have not run my HO trains in 30+ years. I started in HO in 1962 and stayed somewhat busy with it until the mid 1980s. My only MR activities since then have been reading/looking at model railroading stuff on the net(sites, forums, blogs, YouTube), buying a few new parts, and buying a few used items at train shows. Its time for me to stop just thinking about my trains and getting back to working on them.

Loco runs on Sprog...not on EasyDCC

Okay, this is very, very weird.

I have an Atlas MP15DC that I just rewired with a LokSound Select Direct decoder. My workbench DCC setup is a Sprog2 using JMRI and on it it works just fine - easily programmed and tested with all sounds working (and adjusted).

Undecorated three bay hopper project.

Hi,

I've just started a project to make 52 (+3 for me) three bay covered hoppers.  ARI makes the full size car that I wanted to model exactly (the T4250) but there is no model of the car.  I've compromised by using an Intermountain Railway ACF 4650 covered hopper in kit form, gray styrene.  My thought is to do a blog of the start to finish of these cars.
