Drilling VERY small Holes (in brass stock)
Are there some special technics that need to be observed when using really small diameter drills? These drills are very fragile, and some act like they don't cut that well.
I do realize that its likely they should be used with a pin-vise (hand tool),... but that is extremely slow when trying to drill thru thicker stock. Is there a method/tool that would allow for power drilling? The dremel tools appear to operate at too high of a speed. I had thought that drilling brass might be easier?
DCC "Throw-pack" : choice of Win10 host "brains"...
Dear MRHers,
Having found myself (unexpectedly) faced with a small fleet of DCC locos,
with a variety of decoders from the major US-manufs,
(and a couple of oddballs, not to mention any "visiting units" that need help)
I'm seriously considering building a custom DCC test/programming rescue toolbox ("throw-pack").
Filling in the tiny gaps on a wooden deck flat car to simulate a steel deck
Hello fellas, I would like to hear from anybody that has changed a wooden deck flat car to steel.
I have Bachmman 3 Axle truck depressed center flat car that I wish to make look like a steel deck. Has anybody attempted this task and if so, how. The groves a very small and i would like find out what material was used to do the job.
Thanx Steve Klein
