Little Help Here. . . .
Why does "Flipping Book" go to 97% and just sit there grinning at you? Daily routine now throw off schedule because am unable to read/access the MRH Magazine. Computer glitch by service provider?
Ivanhoe Road Scenery
Slow progress but progress nonetheless; more details will follow as I find enhancements in the boxes holding all the stuff "rescued" from the old layout.
3-D Explained
I have to admit that I am totally un-informed as to what 3D Printing is all about. Is there an in-depth explanation out there or here at MRH that explains it? Is it paper? How do you get a plastic shell or building or something from a 3D print? Where does the design come from?
As you can see, what I'm looking for is a step-by-step explanation. I'd like to take advantage of new technology; however, I'm one of those guys that still struggles to remember what my Apple ID and password are on my iPhone. . . . .
Progress
I HAVE SOLVED THE PROBLEM! The railroad is alive; the programming track works; the yard tracks all work; the mainline tracks all work. Once I install the ground throws for switch tracks the intermittent power problem will go away as the stock rails will make firm, positive contact.
Clean Rails
Somewhere I heard that there is a new track cleaning (liquid I believe) that is far superior to what everyone is using now. Anyone hear of it? Not sure of the name but is apparently brushed on and does not attract dirt as much as other solvents.
It Works!
Not presentation quality but you get the idea. Thanks to my wife Peggy for shooting it and putting up with me - LOL! The Greater Nickel Plate lives!
It Works!
On schedule and as promised to myself, the Greater Nickel Plate rode the High Iron today. Not a production video but thanks to my wife, Peggy, and her patience with me the railroad lives! Now to fine tune the track, cars and engines so that everything runs smoothly.
Success!
Eastbound and Westbound Mainlines on left half of layout are installed, wired and tested. Main Line Test Run! Check this out - now to start on backdrops, and then adding scenery and sidings working from the back to the front. First train runs in September. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10200561372499610&l=737027368582950279
