Rio Grande Southern - new videos !!
This post is a about some recently discovered / published RGS film footage.
The first is a short but interesting clip featuring Goose #3 in 1935, plowing snow and later pulling into a crowded Dolores depot. The Goose was nearly new, and in its original dark paint scheme. Chris Weiser discovered this clip, and the Ridgway RR Museum noted it, in their Jan 2015 newsletter.
Rocks with trains!
I think a few of you asked to see the rockwork w/ actual trains in the pictures. Still prepping for the RailFun open houses next weekend, I've declared the rockwork good enough for the moment, and restored operations. Here's a few photos...

Rebuild the Silverton Northern in Colorado? Funding needed...
There is a serious effort to rebuild a portion of the narrow-gauge Silverton Northern, running north out of Silverton Colorado to Howards Fork. They're looking to raise $10,000, and have about $3800 raised so far.

Moving from tunnels to rocks - lots and lots of rocks.
