Operation Session in Virginia’s Tidewater

Last Saturday the 26th of March was the fourth Saturday of the month. That meant the Tidewater modular Rail Road Club - TMRC – Tidewater Division of the Mid-East Region (MER) of the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA) was going to hold their monthly op session.

Become involved in the future of Easy Model Railroad Inventory

If you have thoughts about a feature you think would be useful, start a thread on the Model Railroad Hobbyist forum with Easy Model Railroad Inventory in the subject field.

Other users will see the thread and comment. I will also see it and use it as a source for new features.

Please keep in mind that some things are easy, some difficult, some extremely difficult. If a suggestion is only supported by a few, the chances are it will not be done depending on the difficulty.

Easy Model Railroad Inventory How To #5 (Operations Research Sources)

I have been asked to write a blog entry about operations and Easy Model Railroad Inventory. Before I do that I think it is appropriate for me to explain how I approached my research. I started on a number of model railroad forums where I found a number of threads, which lead to many others sources, both on the Internet and published books and articles.

Easy Model Railroad Inventory How To #4 (Maintain Existing Data)

Tips and tricks 4 for Easy Model Railroad Inventory is going to focus on maintenance. This is not entering new data but editing what has already been entered. Starting with Easy Model Railroad Inventory How To #1 I demonstrated how I went about entering the cars I was able to aquire at the annual auction for the NMRA Tidewater Division.

Most of the cars I had purchased had the wrong coupler and the plastic wheels that came with the car. I use metal wheels and Kadee #5 couplers. When I entered each I made sure to select the W/C status.

Easy Model Railroad Inventory How To #3 (Advanced Date Entry)

There were no comments, pro or con, to # 2 which made me feel a bit like our host publisher. See the thread "Publisher's editorial: The silence can be deafening". I did receive an email from a user of Easy Model Railroad Inventory with a question. He mentioned that the How To was a help. Not resounding but enough to encourage me to start # 3.

Easy Model Railroad Inventory How To #1

I was able to attend the auction held by the Tidewater Division of the NMRA this past Saturday. I was able to sell some stuff that I was not using and buy some stuff I do need. Or at least thought I needed according to my wife. I was on the lookout for 40' gondolas, and 40' flat cars. For some reason they are very hard to find. As it turned out I was able to find and buy 2 gondolas and at least 10 box cars. Maybe my wife is right!
