Spread the word!
Since Model Railroad Hobbyist is totally free and totally advertiser supported, we rely on word-of-mouth in order to grow.
To make it easier for you to spread the word, we've added a "Spread the Word" panel to the right side of our web site. Just type up to 3 friends' emails into the box, enter your email, and click "Spread the word".
We'll email your friends a link to the page you were on when you sent the email.
Be assured we DO NOT capture these emails you enter - the emails you provide are used only to send the "come and see" email to your friends, and then we discard the email. You can rest assured we do not keep your friends' emails nor do we share subscriber emails with anyone, not even our advertisers.
Easter break
Easter break was a fun time, however, not a lot gone done on the layout. OK, nothing got done except a little more clean up and organizing (and still more to do). Good week with the kids off school, though. My son is now (finally) riding a bike, so we did some biking and playing games and had a lot of fun.
Hello to all. A new experience of Blogging for me.
My user name is KL_P which stands for the KERHONKSON LACKAWACK & PEEKAMOOSE RAILROAD. There are three towns/villages in the southern Hudson Valley of New York with these names. The KL&P represents the Holding Company for: Delaware & Hudson Canal Co; Delaware & Hudson Railroad; and the Boston & Maine Railroad.
I have an N scale layout prototyped after the D&H. I have been in the hobby over 62 years, with over 40 years in N scale/
I will enter more information later.

April 11
Well its the morning of April 11 and I am waiting for the "Hobbyist" to show up.
Been working on my railroad....after 2 and half years of basement refinishing. I have been building the benchwork right now and currently working on the first deck. It is sort of a double deck railroad in that the lower deck is devoted to staging while the upper deck, at a nice level for viewing, is devoted the actual railroad.
