Poydras Street Yard and surronding industries
Guys earlier today I had a emergency crop up and got side tracked. Here are some of the amazing photos and maps that I've collected so far for my layout design. I would like to thank Art Houston and Mike Palmeri for all they sent me on the Poydras Street Yard. I hope you enjoy them and if you have questions or maybe some suggestions for me while I'm still doing a preliminary design, please feel free. My goal is to make this layout true, and ill fit as much as I can with the space limitations I'm forced to deal with.
ICRR Poydras Street Yard, Maps, photos
Going to put up a few pieces of information that you other ICRR modelers and fans may find of interest. Id like to thank Art Houston, and Mike Palmeri for contributing the majority of these photos and maps. Truely without their kind assistance, my project would still be just in the dream stage. To all, I'm looking for any information on operations into and out of Poydras St. Yard, and the industries it served. Anyone having maybe old switch lists, or if schedules exist or anything of that nature, id appreciate copies if you wish to share them.
COME A LONG WAY BABY
Two pictures of were we are in 2009 and where we are today. I call it the magic of model railroading. Scean is not finished but keep working on it. Today's picture first.
2009 Dec. Friends called it the Plywood Pacific RR.
The Dearborn Industrial Track
Made another blog post today about my proto-freelanced modern day Detroit Terminal railroad. Today's topic was the Dearborn Industrial Track.
As always, I'd be happy to hear your thoughts.

LCRR - Staging Trackplan
The staging area on a model railroad serves many roles. It's primary role is often the topic of conversation between fellow model railroad enthusiasts. The staging area on my model railroad will serve multiple purposes.
Lenox Tower
To All: Lenox Tower was scratch built for Jim Duncan's St. Louis based GM&O
layout. It was built from photos of the prototype.

It still works
After several months of scenery work, it's good to see that the DCC system and tracks still work. The scenery is almost finished. I just need to add telegraph lines and resin water.
Looking for layout comments
I am modeling rail in a Northern Michigan county (Crawford) circa 1890 to 1905. There are four towns: Grayling, the county seat with a population of about 1000, plus Frederic, Lovells and Lewiston (all smaller).
Grayling was a division point for the Michigan Central RR so there is a roundhouse and maintenance facility as well as the freight/ passenger depot. There is also an icing platform and ice house.
Prototype for a 4'x8' layout in Russia
I found this while researching some abandoned steam locomotives in Russia. Hopefully the coordinates work. I copied then from Google Earth.
