I have been using dryer sheets for scenery for at least the last 20 years.I usually do what I call glueshell scenery where I pin the sheet down and glue it in place.Once that glue has dried I will brush on several coatings of straight white glue over a 3 or so day period.

Since my scenery base is always extruded styrofoam it is fairly easy to poke holes through the sheet into the foam to plant trees and such.Your millage may vary but but your pocket will sure like you for recycling the drier sheets.

If your a plaster kind of a modeler you can also dip the sheets into a container of soupy plaster to make plaster cloth,it is a heck of a lot cheaper than buying the ready made stuff.
