Paint labels rubbing off
While it's a good tip to use tape, don't forget to write to the manufacturer and ask for a better product package! Why should consumers have to use their own materials to fix a manufacturing defect. If typical use obscures the vital info, that's a defect.

Paint Bottle Boogie
I use several varieties (OEM's) of paint to finish my models. As you likely know, the print on the bottles is 3 pt or so and with these old eyes is a challenge to read. Sure, a magnifying glass helps but it is never were I want it when I need it.
The challenge I needed to overcome was one of solvent vs. water based paint. Jar/label colour helps but when all the bottles are in a drawer the tops are the only part readily viewable. What to do?
The solution was to put a label on top of each jar as I add it to my collection. I bought a package of Avery round price stickers (white) and wrote "H2O" or "SOL" on it then applied it to each bottle. Before I put it in the drawer, I also open the jar, put a dab of the paint on the label then put a 1 1/4" square of clear wrap over the bottle before putting on the lid.
The outcome is actually three fold; I can tell what is solvent based, I can tell what colour the paint is AND I can get the bottle open without the use of a hammer.
It is a little tedious cutting the clear plastic wrap but the benefits far outweigh the time consumption.

MCR Converted All Door Boxcars
The All Door boxcars were converted to double door boxcars and to MR reporting marks.

Previously they carried US Plywood reporting marks. Both owned by the same parent so not a change of ownership.
My brother in laws Aunt was responsible for these cars on the MR.
