The Do-Drop Drive In
I am still working on the drive-in restaurant this time focusing on the walk in side with benches and tables and other details. I also started to dig through the internet to find some images of signs to fill the interior.

Finishing up a 40' boxcar
A new train store opened up in town so i stopped by last weekend. He had a lot of old kits for sale. This was an undecorated Red Caboose kit. It only cost $8. Finally getting comfortable with my new airbrush and am applying the decals now.

This is from a Woodland Scenics cast metal kit:
It's my first (successful?) attempt at modeling a beat up structure. All it needs is those pesky little wires.

boxcar blitz continues
Currently have 3 Sylvan Models resin CN double door boxcars on the bench at various levels of completion. 2 will get end reinforcements that CN did in the late 1970's for cars in lumber service, the remaining one will have it's roofwalk removed and A end ladders cut down.
After this I think it will be time to work on the layout since it's going to be on the layout tour that is part of the Railway Modellers Meet of BC on May 4th to 6th. I should probably have something to show people besides unfinished boxcar models...

@Rick
Rick,
I'm not sure how much skill involved, but rather the OCD that makes me redo everything at least twice or three times before it looks good. My goal for this school year (I'm a teacher) was to finish the dozer except for painting and weathering. Doubt I'm going to make that goal, but I'm shooting for a decently done interior by Feb. 10 for me to take down to the Portland RPM...

Still working on the water tower
I am using my little Cricut to start prepping for some serious structure projects and the main thing I found out is that I have forgotten everything since I last used it. They also changed the software and I have migrated to a different file type........pretty much got the kinks worked out and have relearned the idiosyncrasies of my work flow.
After I get the last antennas up and wired it’s on to the infrastructure at the base and then hopefully planting the thing on the layout.
Looks great
I grew up around "old" houses and many looked like that. The ground settles down and nothing is level even or straight. Carter
