Looking for ideas, I have this Double Crossover coming out of my staging yard and need to control it. Ive seen some pictures in the past of people using RC linkage to control the switches, can anybody share with mw how they did it?

I used 4 tortoise machines
I used 4 tortoise machines for my crossover in my yard entrance. You can control them with decoders or toggle switches.

Yup, 4 tortoise machines all controlled by one toggle: straight or crossover.

I used 2 Tam Valley Switchwright servos and 2 slave unit servos

Double Coil Switch Machine
Seems to me that on my old layout I made up a wire rod 'hardness' and only one of these NJ Twin Coil Switch machines. and made everything work off of just one machine,....capacitive discharge power to the twin coil machine

Just thought, being cheap might save a little money. guess I'll carry on.

One Control
Using inexpensive pushrods and arms you can build a controller with one driver (manual or motor). Add a switch in the mix to control the power routing. The cost for a manual version on an indoor Large Scale layout cost about $20 in parts.

Turnout control
Wayne, I think you could do that using Jeff Otto's DPDT switch throw method. I adopted Jeff's method about 20 years ago and have yet to find a more reliable, economical solution.

A Note
I also used 4 tortoises with a toggle. With the older Walthers product you had to throw all 4 TO's at the same time or you would create a short. I don't know if their newer products are the same way. Also be sure to check all the frogs and guard rails with your NMRA gauge for spec. I had to fix mine with some judicious filing. Easier to do before installation. Have fun !
