cleaning track
Sun, 2018-09-02 04:26 — taholmes160
Hi Folks;
Seem to be developing a problem here -- probably related to the current high humidity in the area. My trackwork seems to be getting dirty quite rapidly -- to the point that locomotives wont run properly. I have a mix of atlas and Microengineering track. Ive been using a chunk of masonite to clean it but I'm wondering if thats appropriate, is there a preventative?
Thanks
TIM

For Spot cleanup, I use a foam-backed emery board... the 'polish' grade.
There are some with progressively finer grit, but I'd always go to the finest to finish... scratches are a bad thing to leave behind.
