Updated Ontario South Central track plan

Hello folks,

Here is the updated track plan for my Ontario South Central Railroad located now in it's 5th location in 'The Junction' area of Toronto. I have re-named my fictitious town of 'Angus' (not the real town of Angus, ON, although the station is an Osborn Model Kit reflecting the original station that was located there) to be appropriately titled 'Angus Junction' and now there is one too!

Because I had to shorten the left side, cutting 3 feet off of an extended section of the original 6 foot section in the middle, I had to shorten two industries to only accomodate 1 car each beyond 'Station Road', I added the 3 foot section on the left wall curving round in front of the station creating a more visibly impactive layout and a nice run to switch 'Wakefield/Castrol'. The wall would have accomodated the original layout, but because the way my shelving and my couch worked it wouldn't happen and I wouldn't be able to have ample staging or a switch lead.

And...I was able to add a lovely scene with an underpass and a river with little falls. Also another curve to CN's staging and a soil distributor and some nice scenery where this layout never featured.

This is truly the most 'Model Railroad friendly' location of the OSCR. No windows to be bothered with. No staging tucked behind my work station, etc. It's a tight room, but that's ok, lots of green space outside on the property for the Spring/Summer coming months! Besides the railroad sits 52" up so it doesn't take up any space and allows for lots of 'display' and storage space beneath it.

I'm really happy with this plan. Where i've subracted, Ive added.

Happy Railroading,

Brad, Toronto, ON, Canada.

'Flying Scotsman pub'

I review my post and realise I spelled 'Scotsman' wrong. "Damn" I think. And as I do, there's a Scotsman talking about 'Football' performance on the BBC concurrently!! No joke.

cheers, Brad
