it appears JMRI supports the Prodigy Advanced2 with the additional MRC USB Interface.
Support for other MRC systems is an "...it might work, but has not been specifically tested..." situation...
Just to clarify, it will work with the original Prodigy advance Wireless and prodigy advance 2. I have no idea if it will work with the prodigy express, If the standard Prodigy throttle will work with it, then I would expect it to work.
The challenge is, if you have the wired systems, finding the MRC computer interface dongle. They have been out of stock on the MRC site for ages. Gotta search ebay.
If you run wireless, then the wireless dongle is available. We've used that at the club with great success.
I'm sorry, yes, that's the Prodigy advance. It is essentially the same basic features as the Advance 2 except it does not include the built in wired throttle ports.
The Wireless dongle will work fine with this. Just make sure the computer is in range.
0001515 Wireless Computer Interface (wireless conversion set) for owners of Prodigy Express, Advance, or Advance2, who wants a wireless connection from the computer with capability of using a wireless handheld
the 1515 is just the 1510 bundled with a wireless conversion dongle for the non-wireless systems. 1516 will work with Wireless as well, but you will be tying up the wired interface with it, or using a jack on the layout for it.
The interface is essentially the guts of a throttle with a USB interface instead of buttons, knob and screen.
Well it looks like I'm out of luck, their out of stock everywhere. Checked a bunch of stores & ebay. MRC website has been out of most everything for a long time. Makes me wonder just what is going on there.

From the MRC web site :
There are three interface hardware packages available:
Once you get the proper device, JMRI will be happy and cooperative.
