Last Christmas, I travelled with my family to Hamburg, Germany, where I lived in the 1990s. Being in Hamburg always means to pay a visit to the Miniaturwunderland, the biggest model railroad exhibition layout worldwide. This time, we concentrated on the nicely detailed Italy section.

With the New year a new project. I am modeling Denver in 1959 Rice yard is still in operation. With that comes working out how the backdrop and the foreground will tie together. So I am starting with the roads first up is the 20th Street Viaduct. I have some photos of the old viaduct that was tore down in 1992. I will cut most of the bridge out of MDF on my laser, and some 3D printing. One thing that is of interest is that the UP warehouse was build around one of the bridge pylons. This should be a fun project. The real life photo I got from the Library of Congress.
