Weekly Photo Fun - February 20 through February 27

Well, I can kick off this week...this weekend will be filled with photographing and shooting video of my Estrella & Sonora Grande railroad in On30, which will be dismantled very soon now. A fun but slightly somber time!

Camera Car

I am looking for an article on building a camera car. This particular article had a mount for the camera that turned with the truck giving you a "following the track" view. I've been looking for it on MRH as I'm sure it was on here. If not can anyone let me know where the heck it is? I'm having a Senior Moment. Thanks guys, and gals too!

An artist's dream railroad: The OCR

I am an artist, and a railfan. Naturally, this meant that there had to be a connection. I have always loved drawing trains, but by far, my favorite thing to do with my drawings was to draw my dream railroad. Someday, when I have the space, I want to turn it into a reality. It is very funny how it started. About 5 years ago, I took a trip with my family to Acadia national park, ME. Along the 6 hour drive, I stared out the window at the passing scenery. But when we got to Maine, WOW, there was just SOOOO much I wanted to go out and photograph.

Scenic Shots from Thunder Mesa

Since I seem to post a new photo like this every so often, I've decided to keep them all in one easy to find thread from now on.

Today we have a view of the canyon as the daily mixed rounds the bend. www.thundermesaminingco.blogspot.com

Leased DM&IR SD-9's on the Soo

Back in the day it was common to see DM&IR SD-9's on the Soo Line during the winter months. I captured this moment in time at my HO scale Shoreham sand tower.
