SoundCAR Programming Help
I need some help with a programing issue with my SoundTrax SoundCar.
I have my sound car mounted under the layout as a stationary sound decoder. It is wired into, two Rail Master speakers in series spaced on either side of my layout. I have a bedroom sized around the walls layout.
Everything works when I Intelligent consist it to the locomotive, I am using at the particular time, except for the breaking sound feature of the sound car.
(All locomotives have SoundTraxx Tsunamis)
Micro switches for wing (out) gate
On my swing gate, I'm running two tracks over it. Do I need to use a micro switch on each end of each track at the ends of the gate which would be 4 for 2 tracks, or can I use 2 micro switches for both tracks, one at each end of the gate? Also, does it matter which rail has an insulated rail joiner put in on each track on both sides of the gate? I don't understand the wiring of this all too well from the bus wires to the track, to the micro switches, so any help on this too would be appreciated. Thanks.

Adding feeder wires to double track helix
I purchased a n scale helix kit and have finished putting it together. When I got done I realized that I did not provide enough feeders for each layer. I only have a feeder at the top and bottom of the helix for each track. Since it is all glued together, I don't have the ability to take it apart and add the feeders. I was wondering what the best way to handle this? Should I try and run the feeder wire under the track for the inside connections? Is using 22 ga. too big for this? Thoughts?

Rapido LRC consisting challenge: lights & sound
I hope someone more experienced in DCC can help me out with this! I'm the proud owner of two Rapido Trains LRC locomotives and a string of LRC coaches.
I'd like to set them up as “pull-pull” locomotives, one on each end of the train, to use at Fremo meets (our Fremo group uses a Digitrax system).
Wiring bus for DCC and testing for shorts
I am trying to take the existing wires for a DC layout and connecting them to bus (red/black) to go to a DCC layout. I have a multi meter that I normally use to check for shorts. If I put the meter on Ohms and touch the same rail with the red and black probes I see the needle swing to the full right (which I understand is Good). However, if I place the the red and black probes on opposite parallel tracks [one being the red bus and the other the black bus\ I also get the same swing in the needle to full right on the dial.

CV programming and read back with Current Keeper added to Tsumani question............
I installed a Tsunami TS-750 in a Lee Snover O scale GE 23 Ton boxcab and did all my programming with JMRI and a laptop. As the locomotive is quite light and has only 4 wheel pick up (all available) I would get occasional drop outs and stalls, so I decided to add a Current Keeper which would just fit. That solved the stalling problem as long as I waited to let it charge up before using.
