Layout design
Multi-Level
Has anyone done a multi level layout where there was no connections between the levels where you might have freight operations on one level and passenger operations on another. Due to my room size I was thinking about doing something like.
What is the usual distance between levels if you have done something like that?
Thanks for any ideas.

Layout Update: End of Sep 2015
Just a quick update to progress that has been made over the last couple of weeks. The first thing that I had to do was to order another box of Peco code 80 track. While waiting for the track delivery, I double checked the electrical plan (shown in the video) so I would know where to place all of the Atlas insulated joiners (I know they are ugly but they work great).
Radius of layout turns
Gents,
Now that I have found most of my trains are going to be about about 30 to 40 cars or about 30 foot long. I need some input on radius. My initial thoughts were for 36" but what is a reasonable radius without wasting space and realistic running??? Space is not so much an issue but lets face it, just because its there do i need to waste it too. So what will allow for long trains but also not waste basement either??

Has anyone had experience with the Walthers Street Sections
Has anyone had any experience with the Walthers Street sections? I am looking into them and was wondering if they are a good quality and easy to use/worth the money.
cables/plugs for connecting remote control box?
Due to the limited size of our portable layout I have built a control box that will plug into the main layout for operation.
Kingsbury Ave done
Kingsbury Avenue, all 9 feet of it, is paved from one end to the other. What a project this was! Fitting all the pieces into each turnout was the most difficult part. Good thing I made templates of all 3 sections. That made it much easier. Still tedious, but easier. Now to do some weathering on the surface. Add some manhole covers. Tar patches. Small potholes, etc, etc.
