Locos - Rolling stock (general)
Let's see your lit cabooses.
The first two shots are of a OMI brass model, and the last, a TLT plastic model that doesn't have operating back-up lights:
Pointe St. Charles caboose question
I have been researching for the past week trying to find out when these air intakes first appeared on these CN steel cabooses. Seen under the numbering in this photo:
So far the earliest dated photo I could find is 1978.
Does anyone know of any CN cabooses that had these prior to 1978?

Lionel reenters the HO market
Lionel is advertising a new train set. They are reproducing the Polar Express in HO as they have already done in O and S. While it looks like train set stuff with a lot of cast on detail, it is actually quite advanced with control in DC, DCC and their proprietary control which is also compatible with Blue Tooth and can be operated with an app in both Android and iPhone.
FICT Boxcars part 4
The FICT now has a "standard" boxcar style. 16' long, wood-framed, inside-framed boxcar. Mind you, it wasn't until I took this pic that I realized that all three are even-numbered... Still, three boxcars, all built in a similar style. This style is the most modern version of the line's wooden boxcars, renumbered 140-169 by the new owners. There WILL be a "steel" boxcar as well, eventually, which will be numbered 170-199, and then fill gaps in the existing run as modern steel boxcars replace older cars.
COTS labels and appropriate year
Can anyone help me in determining if this caboose with the labels would be appropriate for 1974? Did these labels come out before or after ACI labels?
Can you tell the difference?
Two CN Point St. Charles cabooses. One is brass and the other plastic. Can you tell them apart?
RMC 80th Anniversary Boxcar
To All: I painted, lettered and applied the RMC 75th logo to this 40 foot Accurail outside braced boxcar. The car has full under body detail, #58 Kadee couplers, air hoses and coupler cut bars. The finished out the car with Bragdon Weathering powders followed by a flat sealer coat. The RMC 75th logo was lifted from magazine. Photo by Elvin Howland. Yours, Elvin Howland/E.
