MRH February Perfect Storm Disaster update
Here's a quick YouTube video describing the current situation at the MRH Media HQ ... and why issue release was so late this month.
Includes photos of the storm damage ... it's not as bad as it could have been, but it's still not pretty.
Putting Shingles on my Station
I have been spending a bit of time every few nights putting shingles on my station. I like the wood shingle effect an colours that suggest aged roofing. I am nearly complete this part of my structure, so how did I get to this point.
Covid !9 or How I learned to stop worrying and love the Pandemic....
Belated Happy New Year to all! My January was spent with a blessedly mild case of Covid....14 day isolation and all. My wife was exposed at work, and we both tested positive. We are both fine and neither of us required hospitalization, so God blessed us on that front.
So needless to say between the holidays and isolation I have accomplished nill....My plans and research are now centered on Kansas and Oklahoma for a prototype, and I have decided to build a small shelf layout to start off.

My First Layout Video Update: 3D Printed Canoe, Demolishion Progress, Walthers Boxcar Review, and More!
Hey all,
I just published my first layout video update. So far I have been told that I should relax a little to ease my tone of voice (I don't normally sound this bad) and to make things flow a little better. I'm looking for suggestions/advice/comments so I can improve things without making myself look like a fool even more.
Scratch building a CNoR Third Class Station
Even though I don’t run passenger equipment on any regular basis, I wanted to have an old station for my layout, it has seen better days, bit of modernization but retaining the old charm of days gone by. There are many station kits available to suit the design requirements, however a winter project with a little more involvement was what I wanted to get into. For inspiration I chose a CNoR third class station like one sitting in a field just a mile down the road here in Emo, Ontario. This, the old Barwick Station, was a perfect candidate.
It's been a while... my On30 logging RR
It's been awhile... a long while since I've posted anything here in my MRH blog. Since the last post, I've moved 4 times, changed jobs 6 times, torn down two layouts, and switched modeling interests and scales as well. Presently, I am building an On30 logging railroad [to be named later] that will be an L shaped, out-and-back with a sector plate on one end and a turntable at the other. I will post some pictures now and hopefully, I will be back sooner than later with updates and photos on the progress.
