Detailing ConCor Passenger Coaches to VIA Rail
Just finished upgrading three N Scale ConCor passenger coaches to VIA Rail HEP. After removing the skirt and manufacturers markings I used a combination of several different MicroScale and Highball Graphics decal sets. 4107 is a ConCor Parlour car I configured as a VIA 1, unfortunately decals for this class are not available. When I find a good graphic or photo, I will create them.
Need Assistance -Programing Sound Decoders
I am having issues programming sound decoders. I have a Digitrax DCS 51 system with a dedicated and isolated programming track. On Direct mode I can change the 4 digit address for sound decoders, but the system will not read/write any other CV’s. What can I do?
Video New -Rapido Trains Inc. CN Dash 8-40CM “Draper Taper”
Just received Rapido Trains Inc. CN Dash 8-40CM “Draper Taper” in N Scale.
Looking for suggestions!
This is my first attempt at designing a control panel. Looking for feedback on design, layout and functionality.
SCL =Standard Car Length.
The printed card will be covered with plexiglass. The mainline crossover turnouts (1 & 6) will be wired to a single switch to throw both turnouts together.
COMPLETED -CN Covipan Intermodal Yard
Here are a few photos and article of the completed Intermodal Yard on my layout, the Trenton Subdivision in N Scale. More below.
My Ambulance in N Scale
During 37 years as a frontline #Paramedic, model building and model railroading was my destresser from the difficult calls of the profession. Now retired, my profession has crept into my hobby.
Just completed this N Scale (1:160) model of my old Ambulance, that I spent many years responding in.
CN MOW Trucks -Project Completed
Just completed two CNR Maintenance-of-Way vehicles to add to my layout, the Trenton Subdivision in N Scale. These are resin and metal casting, Magnuson Models Hi-Rail crew cab trucks that I purchased several years ago. Decals are Highball Graphics CN MOW, Microscale Canadian flags and Hazmat placards. For the solid cast windows, I first applied a layer of gloss black, followed by a coat of Tamiya Clear Green.
Signs, Light Poles & Security Camera’s Installed
Working on the final details on the CN Intermodal Yard on my layout, the Trenton Subdivision in N Scale.
Work crews have been busy installing the lights and security cameras.
Scenery Progress
Some more scenery completed, light posts installed. For depth perception for some of the trees I have shaved off half of the foliage. This allows me to place them directly against the back wall.
The pencils stabilize the trees until the glue is fully set.
WIP Update.
Started laying some of the scenery over the weekend. Intermodal scene is beginning to blend into my Trenton Subdivision in N Scale. Tracks are ballasted with some low growing weeds starting to creep on the edges of the right of way. Oily-black weathering powder along the tracks, heavier between the rails.
