Rule #1 is annulled this week! Show us your work!
Weekly Photo Fun: Feb 25--Mar 3, 2018
Haven't seen a photo fun thread for this week, so let's get one started!
IAIS's West End - Favorite scene
A couple months ago I was posting about my layout's signature scene, but this time, I thought I'd veer from that to discuss my favorite scene: The crossovers at the west end of Atlantic, Iowa.
Details in the first reply.
All Aboard Train Show 2017 - Saskatoon
It's that time of year again. Took a visit to the Saskatoon All Aboard Model Train Show at the Western Development Museum in Saskatoon yesterday and snapped some pictures. As always, the show is in the museum which is a bit dark in many places, so some of the pictures may not be up to snuff from a lighting standpoint, but most are pretty decent. Pictures to follow.
Bridgetown RPM
Okay, a couple of weekends ago, Bruce Barney and Rod Loder held the first Bridgetown RPM meet at Taborspace in Portland, OR.
Joe Fugate and I went, to see the models, to show off MRH/TMTV, and to demonstrate the Proto-throttle. The Proto-throttle almost didn't get shown off, as Joe's original version NCE PowerPro system wouldn't run the Proto-throttle. Fortunately, Joe Brugger had an updated PowerPro that would, and lived somewhere nearby.
I had a camera along of course.
Lets see black and white photos that inspired you to model a scene or train
I find that B&W photos of railway scenes are a great source for inspiration, but modeling it in colour takes quite a bit of research.
This photo inspired me to scratch build a turntable though I did not make it exactly this way.
So I though I would share the scene of my TT in B&W.
Bangor & Aroostook F3
Sorry to soil the day of any strictly realistic modelers, who might feel this doesn’t belong here, but I just finished work on a fun project, and I thought this might be a fun place to share it.
