The Northern Pacific to Yellowstone Park.

I thought I would post this excellent modeling job.

The Northern Pacific used to run a train from Livingston, MT south to Gardiner, MT which is the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park.

This service ran until about 1955 when regular service was suspended but an occasional special stain would take tourists to the park. The railroad not only took tourists to visit the park, but also supplied the town of Gardiner, MT. Roads inproved and finally in the mid 50's vehicles traffic could do the job of the railroad.

A couple Central American Railroads

Finally getting around to this.  We took a cruise through the new Agua Clara locks of the Panama canal (on the Caribbean Princess) a couple weeks back.  I was able to observe a train in Panama as we came out of the locks back into the Caribbean Sea.  While in Costa Rica, we also took a ride on the Banana Train - a railroad with a very interesting history.  Didn't take a lot of pictures, but I've got a few.
