Weekly Photo Fun - 1/12 to 1/16/14
The very first in a weekly series of photos! Since I don't have anything that great I'll cheat and use a picture of the real thing. Here L&N #1575 a U30C heads up and around the curve 1974. Thank you Joe for the great idea!
Weekend Photo Fun Jan 11 -12 2014
No one has started one yet so here it goes...
Which photo editing software?
I am going to have to make my own decals for the Cleveland Cliffs lake freighter I am building for my layout. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what software to use to do this? Photo editing? I have never done this before.

IAIS's West End - UP's Pool Yard
It was recently suggested that I break down my blog entries by topic or location to make them easier to find, since my original blog on the Iowa Interstate's West End at http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/9031 is getting a bit large and cumbersome. This post marks the beginning of my move in that direction.

New England Photo Backdrops
In my modeling Southern Vermont in late fall after the leaves have fallen, and the fact that I live in Montana now, I am faced with a problem. I cannot simply walk outside and start shooting photo backdrops for my Vermont Railway - North Bennington Division layout. Being a photographer myself, this is something that is driving me nuts!
