I'm doing some background research on my railroad and came across some old photos from back in the day. Things really haven't changed that much ... Enjoy!

Mid-Year Layout Update!

Here is the mid-year layout update video:

In the video I explain the progress of the new layout segment from Seattle Washington, down to Auburn and then southeast over Stampede Pass.  We also began constructing more of our custom TOMA modules to expand the layout further.

May Operations Video

This month's op session was well attended and another excellent variety of model trains was run over the layout.

I'm not always the best at coming back to look at comments here, but I was surprised how misunderstood my track cleaning video was from the comments.

Visit to some fellow modellers

I have just got back from vacation on the west coast. Went to meet up with friends and family. Visited with long time friend, fellow geologist and model railroad enthusiast Marc Simpson. Marc was able to get me down to meet Mark Dance and see his world class layout, The Columbia and Western Railway.

i took my HBMS #2 to Marc’s layout for a few photo ops. Marc models HBMS and the CN line.

MINIWORLD ROTTERDAM LAYOUT VISIT

A trip to The Netherlands visiting the spring flower expo's (read Tulips) and a stop at Mini World in Rotterdam.

A most enjoyable layout. Well build and operated. Lots of details and a typical 'Holland' scene.

Enjoy the photo's.

N&W Pocahontas District: Last Hurrah!

Much as I hate to say this, an unexpected upcoming job change and impending move means I have to dismantle my current N&W Pocahontas layout. This layout had a much shorter life span than I was expecting. I began building it in Nov of 2014 and was hoping it would stay with me well into retirement years, but alas that will not be the case.
