Videos of Grant Eastman's Beautiful SAR layout

Hi all...

I was fortunate to attend SuperTrains in Calgary a few weeks back to speak about the move of Brian Pate's KMR layout to Dawson City.  I was doubly fortunate to be able to spend a very enjoyable afternoon with Grant Eastman and his stunning Southern Alberta Rail layout.  Grant's work has been published and I have been a fan of his work for a long time.  I also got to operate on the SAR several years ago as part of the Northern Rails 2014 op event and it was truly unique experience.

The 3D Printed N-Scale Union Station Project Continues - Parts 2 & 2A

After a lot of measurements and a couple of test prints, the center section of the main station building was glued together and test fit to the lower level and then to the passenger waiting room building.  This way, the waiting room structure can be taken off of the layout separately from the main station building. The video above shows what that looks like.

The Hudson Bay Railway operates on the Esquimalt and Nanaimo

While attending Supertrain in Calgary Alberta this past weekend (http://supertrain.ca) I had opportunity to visit and operate on Dave Bedard's Canadian Pacific Esquimalt and Nanaimo Railway.  The E&N operates on Vancouver Island between Victoria and Courtney, with a branchline to Port Alberni.  Dave's layout features scratchbuilt depots, kitbashed freight cars and locomotives to represent prototype equipment and developing scenery, all on two decks. It was a great layout to run on.
