Layout Update: Mid June 2015 - Part 2
This video is Part 2 of Layout Update for mid-June 2015. The first part described the track installation and this part shows how the paper plan for DCC electrical installation is translated to the physical layout.
Layouts and hobby shops to visit
I'll be traveling to Burnsville, NC (about halfway between Johnson City, TN and Asheville, NC) and would like to know about any model railroad clubs/layouts that might be available to visit. Also any hobby shops in the area that are recommended. I'll be heading down I-81 to I-26 to get there and staying about a week, and anything in the western part of NC and eastern part of TN might be within range, say 1-1.5 hours from Burnsville.

Layout Update: Mid June 2015 - Part 1
The current work area is located in the center of the peninsula on the upper or third level of the layout. All of the track and turnouts for this area have been installed and it is now ready for the fun part, known as electrical installation.
