Layout tour
Florida Springs
Hi all
First post here
Id like to share a couple of videos of my latest exhibition layout with you
The first one was taken on Thursday morning and was the first test run on the layout that I started on Tuesday
The second one was taken on Saturday afternoon
The part you can see is 6 feet long by 1 foot deep
The two CF7s are Athearn units with Kato motors and ESU LokSound decoders
FCEN is a custom job by Southern Tier Models. It's CVs still need some tweaking
Cv&ws model RR club Division 1 Mid Central Region National Model Railroad Asociation operating session 2/8/15

Buffalo Line Operating Session
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3sxMeqhRm0&feature=youtu.be
Here is a link to the Pennsy layout operating session I noted in the pictures of me operating the yard engine on Steve Mallory's Buffalo Line. Rather dramatic, but that's what the photographer had in mind.
Layout Update #5A
The section of the layout that is in the video is where the double track mainline goes in/out of the west helix, the branch line goes in a loop above the west helix, and the town of Michaelson is against two walls. The depth of this section is 30 inches and so I found that it would be easier to remove each module and work on them when I was sitting down as opposed to stretching over them after they are screwed down in place on their support structure.
First real layout, progress update...
Whilst I sip my hot cup of java, it's time for an update!
First attempt at a real layout...
I have been reading, researching, collecting hardware, building structures, and weathering rolling stock for a few months.
Now it's time for a layout!
I am going to document my progress here because I am excited to get some feedback.
