Yep, that toy from the 1960's was used to create the tile roofing, the row boats and the canoe. I really was getting it to make clear windows for vehicles, but had some other ideas first. Got any other ideas. Hopefully I will get these done in the next week and get some finished photos posted.
sources of junk/ odd parts etc..
What are your sources of junk/ odd parts/ interesting flatcar loads etc...Lets give each other a few ideas we havent thought about.
Gears--I go to goodwill and buy junk watches and take the small gears and misc. parts out of them
larger gears--my dvd player died, cracked it open and grabbed a few larger gears that operate the door and disc drive
miscellaneous steel junk--typewriters are great for this kind of stuff

Micro Brushes
Just finished placing the last coat of Rusty pipe color on the rails and was wondering if anybody else was using MicroBrushes for applying adhesives?
I've found them quite handy and thought I'd share that not only does the Hobby industry use them but also dentistry and cosmetics do to. So I've discovered you can get them in a bulk quantity on Amazon for around $6.50 for 100 of them under the title "Eyelash Extension lint free microbrush". you could probably find them just under microbrush search also and they come in other sizes as well
