H&H Ship Photos
The Hagley Museum and Library has recently digitized some of the photos from the Harlan & Hollingsworth collection, H&H was a ship (and passenger car) builder in Wilmington, DE and was served by the P&R/RDG, PRR and B&O. It later became part of Bethlehem Steel Shipbuilding.
The collection has numerous pictures (an other info) on ships and barges of all kinds built by H&H.

Up Close with Steam: 2-6-2, 2-8-2, and 2-4-4-2 Loggers!
Last weekend I received a wonderful anniversary gift of spending time with my terrific wife of 40 years and my son, together with a McCloud River RR #25 2-6-2, Polson Loggng Co #2 2-8-2, and the newly restored "Skookum" #7 2-4-4-2 steam locos. Colorado Front Range Railroad - Update March 2019 "5 years of building the layout"
March 2019 update and April 30 will mark 5 years of building the layout... So what is new and a look back at some photos from over the 5 years. Also My dad came for a visit and has some questions about the layout.

A new Shay was put into service pulling logs down to the mill.
This is a brass Shay in Sn3 with a LokSound decoder with customized sounds recorded off of the Dixiana Shay.

Signs on gondolas rarely modeled
I saw this photo from an NKP train and noted the signs on wooden poles on a corner of each gondola. We can't tell what they say but it's not something you see modeled very often.
