Photo inspiration

My Old Friend Victor D'Albora

While my latest video is getting so much attention, I wonder if perhaps you could take an inspiring look at someone who was a major influence in my life both as a model railroader and as a man. My old friend Victor D'Albora

They say you never stand so tall as when you stoop to help another, and Vic was almost 6'4" when he stooped for me almost 40 years ago, in a small hobby store in Haverstraw NY (See Model Railroader Dec 2018 Trains of Thought.)

Changing Major Directions from my Current Layout to a New One

I started a blog in 2017 to document the creation of my Z scale Alpine layout (all Marklin locos and rolling stock with mixed products for just about everything else). You can see my posts at the end of this page.

I went with Z scale because I wanted to make the most of a layout in a limited space and I had bought some Marklin Z rolling stock, locos and track many years ago for "the day" I would start a layout.

Modelling realistic spruce trees

Hi! I have been working to improve my method to model spruce trees. I´m kind of happy now and will make a video tutorial for publication on friday november 30. Please feel free to comment with suggestions or alternative methods. Improvements are the driving factor for me!
