I'm still very interested i going forward with this project (but need to my new layout running first). The subject came up in my mind recently when I acquired another VC-16 tender.

its about time, this took way longer than I thought it would, but it is done and working well. I still have a few details I am going to add (blowdown valves, oil cups, etc).

by the way, in case you did not know, the set of cylinders on a Shay is referred to as the "engine", just so there is no confusion.

I want to share this with you so that you can see the possibilities for not only BLI but other steam engine upgrades In addition, Larry does two comparison videos of the major brands of 21-pin decoders that you might find interesting. I don't think the Scale Sound Systems speakers will be the weak link....
