UV cured epoxy, a little story.....
Found out something interesting today. A while ago I wanted to try UV activated epoxy. I’ve got some in my mouth and it seems to want to stay there so I figured it might be handy. I ordered the cheapest thing I could find on eBay coming from China and waited for it to arrive. When it did I tried dripping some on a part and then shining the light from the associated UV flashlight that came with the liquid epoxy. The epoxy took its time getting a skin on and I finished it off on the back porch railing.
Armoured train ideas
I’ve been looking over the ideas of getting and running armoured trains, as they are planned to make up a bulk of the White Lion Railways fleet. Many would probably have to be custom built as well. I’m looking at some freelance designs as well as prototypical designs. Any ideas for service outside of a war zone?

Small Diameter Flexible Tubing
Can anyone lead me to a source of highly flexible small diameter tubing? Perhaps I am pursuing too much realism in trying to disguise the DCC wires between the steam loco and tender as water hoses and brake lines. The subject loco is too closely coupled to the tender to fit a TCS of 6-wire connector between the units. A pair of three-wire Miniatronics connectors are too stiff over such a short span. My only alternative is to hard-wire the loco and tender. So, if that is the best option, I would like to disguise the wires in some manner.
Mantua or Tyco 4-4-0 General
Folks,
I want to buy a Mantua or Tyco 4-4-0 General that is in good, runable condition. If you have one that you would part with or know where I can get one, please let me know.

Queston on smoke box color on UP 844
When Athearn Genisis made the last run of the HO UP 844 a year or so ago I purchased one, but being in the middle of layout construction, I put it on the shelf unopened.
Today I decided to open it and put it on the layout. I was totally shocked by the smoke box and the fire box being pure bright white, not the usual smokey silver color. Looks awful. I didn't even take the tender out of the packaging.
