N&W class G1 - a small engine for a great job
More than 20 years was this small model of a small steam engine in my stock and never it has to do a real job.
This small class G1 consolidation of N&W was a great workaholic beside all the other great engines of N&W, because it was built in 1897 already and was in service until 1955. A real long life for American steam engines!

Locomotive Sounds
Hi I am looking for a source of MP3´s of Locomotive train sounds of generic steam and diesel locomotives along with just train sounds to play from an iPhone when running a layout due to the fact that I don´t have DCC if anyone knows where I can find some that would be great.

Engine Problem
1st of all they really should add a help topic choice for I am sure it would be well used.
2nd of all my problem.
The locomotive in question is an all metal engine with pickups in the tender I am not sure if it is shorting but it sparks as it goes around and it stops and starts. Do you think it is something with the tender wheels? I will hopefully get pictures up soon.
N scale 0-6-0 and curve radius
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone had any experience of getting this locomotive,
http://www.spookshow.net/loco/bach262.html
around the Kato unitrack 315mm 45 degree curves?
I may be moving into a larger place soon, allowing me to do more with my layout, and that curve would make the most sense in the environment. Likewise I'm thinking of adding some steam to my roster. However, I don't want to snap any wheels off ...

American source for driver wheels for scratch building steam locomotives
Hello all,
I recently acquired a book on how to scratch build steam locomotives in OO scale, I plan to use the methods to build some North American locos but I can not find any domestic suppliers of driver wheels in S scale. The way I see it I will have to scavenge the wheels off of trains that are beyond repair or maybe find a machine shop that will mill some for me. Does anyone know of such a source in the USA of steam drivers and other locomotive wheels?

Need Help Finding Proper Headlight Casting For 2-10-0 Decapod
Hi Gang,
I purchased a couple of the Bachmann 2-10-0 Decapods from folks who had lost the headlight castings off of them. They're the Susquehanna versions, so the headlight casting mounts to the top of the smoke box and not in the center front.
I have looked through so many casting, that I am lost as to which one is the proper one to use as a replacement. Can someone please tell me which casting and from whom, would be the proper replacement for these?
