DCC for Tomix N Scale Bullet Train

I recently become the proud owner of an N scale Tomix 92815 500 series Shikansen after lusting for one for literally years. Now I'm looking to install DCC in it - but my Google-fu is failing me. I can't seem to find where anyone else has installed DCC in this little gem. I know I'm going to need three decoders - one for the motor car, and one function-only decoder in each end for the lights. Does anyone have any experience or references for this?

Digitrax Sound Files

Okay, so... so far, I can only find three places to find Digitrax sound projects (the SPJ files... I have attempted to make my own, but that didn't work out in the least!)

The three places I've found are the Digitrax sound library, the Digitrax Yahoo group, and "https://groups.io/g/AnPRR".

Out of the three groups, I still haven't found something suitable for a 4-4-0 engine. (and before someone sends me the PDF that mentions the 0-4-0 at AnPRR, I would like to assure you, it hasn't been made yet... it's still a future project)

O.K Now i'm computerized and I need help

To my N scale layout, I have installed a small laptop (windows 7 and JMRI) connected to a Digitrax PR3 Xtra with its own PS 14, networked to a Digitrax DCS 210 command station.  The Bachrus Speedo has been added to the system and ALL drivers and comm ports are properly set up. I am using the LocoNet 100 mode to program using a program track connected to the DCS 210.

I have 2 problems with this setup !!!

1. When I try to use the Bachrus spedo to set up the speed table, No power is sent to the program track. The train don't run. I get a flatline graph.

Auto Reverse and or Buss Line

I need a bit of help with my TOMA design. The layout is in three modules right now. The layout basically consists of two loops with a short connection track between the two. The two loops have some track that branches off from each.

1) Should auto reversing circuits be placed on the left module for each reversing loop that starts on this module?

2) Since there are multiple tracks branching from each loop, should a buss wire be used from the AR's and then feeder wires used to power the branching track?

Walthers 130' Turntable and DCC

I have a Walther's  130' Turntable that is DCC "ready".  I will have to double check the instruction sheet as to adding DCC to it, but I was wondering if anyone has DCC-ed one of those turntables.

Digitrax & JMRI question

I have a Digitrax  DCS 210 command station (Evolution) connected to a laptop through a Digitrax PR3.  I also have a Bachrus speedo connected to the laptop. I will be using JMRI Decoder Pro.

1. Should I program my locos on the speedo using a programming track, or use ops mode using main line power ? This is with speed matching in mind.

2.Should I use the programming track outlet on the PR3 for programming sound units? There is a 15 VDC power supply connected to the PR3 for this purpose.

Bridge Rectifier

I have bridge rectifiers in passenger cars for LED lighting.  I am not good at designing circuits, thought I can build them. I have some cars that the LEDs blink going over a frog or dirty track.  This is my question, do you put the capacitor in series or parallel?  I know what voltage to get, what size capacitor would you get?  Thank you for your help

A KAM4P-SH in an EMD Model 40...

While I was at the National Train Show, someone mentioned to me (possibly here on the MRH forums) that I needed to get one of TCS's KAM4 decoders that included a built in capacitor for my Roundhouse EMD Model 40. The Model 40 had less than acceptable performance due to it's short wheelbase and (likely) my semi-conductive trackwork in the industry it will be working.

This is an EMD Model 40 (Athearn illustration):

Atlas/Roco gp38 help???

I have a old Atlas/roco high nose gp38 with dual flywheels , I installed a tcs decoder in it & the problem I'm have i can't get it to run a right at speed set 1 . It jerks & lops at speed set 1,2,3  it smoothes out nice at 4 & up !!! contacted TCS the suggested a couple things to try nothing worked ??? It didn't run like that in dc ??
