Lift-out wiring connections

I have progressed far enough on the lower level of the layout to start thinking about the lift-out section in front of the attic access door. I have the section built, but I'm not sure how I'm going to plug and unplug the section as needed.

I think I'm going to use stranded wire and male/female speaker plugs for each buss line.

What are other folks doing to connect and disconnect the buss at lift-outs, swings and drop sections?

Cab07

I would like to show you a picture of my new Cab07. I just recieved in the mail yesterday. I was always partial to the Cab05 speed buttons and I wrote to NCE suggestion box and they replied that a Cab07 was available.

DCC servo decoder

Hi,
based on Geoff Bunza's fantastic DCC decoder, I have developed a simple PC board to control 16 servos via DCC. Nothing fancy, but building these decoders from protoboard was just too tedious for me.

Controlling DCC accessory decoders via LocoNet

Hi,
I am currently working on a LocoNet controller for stationary DCC decoders. This controller will allow me to throw turnouts on my layout with a fairly small but dedicated controller, instead of using my Zephyr for loco and TO control, or having to run a PC program to do that. Or trying to cram dozens of toggle switches on a layout panel.

The controller connects to the Zephyr via LocoNet, and the TO signals will be received by the Zephyr which in turn will send a DCC signal to the DCC decoders.

GE 44 DC number 7747

Can someone help PLEASE!

Several years ago I purchased, I think, a HO Intermountain ES 44 DC locomotive, factory fitted with D.C.C. The loco is decorated for B.N.S.F. and numbered 7747. There are no marking on the base of the loco.

DUMB me, has missed placed the manual and original box, after 4 moves in 6 years.

May 2016-1 - S-Cab wireless battery power system

The Stanton S-Cab is one option for modelers who want to break away from traditional methods of powering locomotives and try wireless battery power.  Miles Hale shows how he installed the system in his engines and discusses some ways in which he deviated from the manufacturer’s recommendations to make it work for his particular situation.

New ESU LokSound / Allagash Full Throttle Video

Hello Everyone,

Earlier this week Mike Confalone hosted ESU for a small video shoot to showcase some fo the new "Full Throttle" features. We will do more later this year, but we wanted to show some footage of the capabilities of the LokSound "Full Throttle" files on the mountain going up and coming down. These great new files fit right in to Mike's outstanding scenery!
