DCC - Electrical
OK, I'll Bite. . . .
I am looking for your Pros and Cons on DCC wiring.
Here's the situation: I started laying track awhile back and used some of those rail joiners with the wire attached - WRONG! When you ballast and they "disappear," you can't find them when you have a problem. So, as I progressed, I made drops where required and soldered wire to rail and that wire to a buss with a Scotch-Lok or stripped and soldered. So far so good.
best DCC circuit breaker?
so what do you think the best DCC circuit breaker is. assuming best price VS functionality
Bachmann shay with tsunami sound
Help, I have a bachmann shay with a tsunami sound decoder. When I place it on the tracks it sounds good but when throttle is applied it sputters. When placed on test wheels it runs without the sputters. Any help is appreciated.
Merry Christmas to all.
Tortoise switch control
Hi, would like to know if it is possible to have a Tortoise switch motor be thrown from two separate location by separate DPDT switches, and if so how would you wire it.
Thanks

Programming QSI Titan
I recently got my first QSI equipped loco. http://eurekamodels.com.au/R.html
The only way I could change the number from 3 to 704 was by programming on the main but even on the main I can't read CVs using my NCE pro cab or decoder pro.
Is there a list of the various methods for programming these decoders?

Yikes.............All those wires........
........go where???
Installing a QSI Titan in an O Scale V & T 4-6-0. The group in the center are from the decoder and the groups to either side by the class lights are from the locomotive for: R + L rail pickup (tender and locomotive); backup light LED; speaker in tender; cab light; firebox flicker(2 bulbs); class lights (2 bulbs); headlight LED and lastly a speaker firing up the stack in the smokebox.
Sound modules
The sound modules from ITT Products are a great addition to a layout.
Hats off to George Solovay of ITT for a great product and service. He will customize any sound you want at no charge. The modules bring your layout to life
Wiring for DCC reversing loop
I have posted this in another forum with no response so thought I would try here. Below is a rough track plan already install a few years ago. I will be starting the reversing loop at the first turnout near the top left corner by the aisle and finishing it at the turnout just above it and slightly to the left. Yes I know there are other ways I can do this. My question is this, when I installed the track, each piece was its own block, both ends isolated by styrene, ditto with the turnouts.
