Best of both worlds, an idea for a touch screen + knob on a throttle

In several instances we as a group seem to have split ourselves into two throttle factions - the ones who want to use (or at least tolerate) a touch screen device such as a smart phone, and the ones who insist on physical controls.  There seems to be little common ground, and I don't think it needs to be that way.  There has to be a way to satisfy both factions, and to have the best features of both styles.

Proposed Path To WIFI Open Standards

Proposed Path to WIFI Open Standards

A engineering friend of mine once told me: "Standards are so popular that everyone has their own.." I think he was right!

power cab

I am thinking of replacing my old Lenz set 02/4. I am looking at the nce power cab. This is a small/medium sized N scale layout. One operater. It looks like the power cab has many more features and is easier to use. I can get what seems to be a good price from my LHS(caboose in Denver). Any thoughts on this?

Jumper Between Locos

Have any of you come up with a good way to jumper between hood unit locomotives?

Another Question...

Will it cause any problems with my NCE system to route

the lead from the system to the program track thru an

electronic circuit breaker? I intend to use a booster on

the programing track and I assume that the CB would

precede the booster.....

Thanks,

Dan
