ProtoThrottle unboxing
One of our customers, Jared Seliger, posted a nice video showing the ProtoThrottle being unboxed and setup:

Unlocking the low speed registers of the Tsunami2/Econami decoders
I noticed that the straightline speed curve that is stock on Tsunami2/Econami decoders is not the most optimized for low speed settings with Genesis/RTR Athearn locomotives. After using the "Switching Speed" function in the Tsunami2, I felt the decoder was more capable of finer low speed control then was initially available OOTB. The trick wasn't to use the 3 point speed curve, but to enable the 28 point speed table and shift the mid values closer to the top of the speed curve making a shallow curve on the low end and a sharper curve towards the top speeds.

TCS Decoder Programming for Lights
I now have several locos equipped with newer production TCS decoders - without sound. I want the rear light to be OFF when going in reverse in a consist, or if it's easier to program just set the rear light to be off period.
I have been searching around and haven't found an answer that has worked.
What values do I put in what CVs to keep the rear lights off when the loco is going in reverse? If I can re-map the function to something that lets me keep the rear light off that's fine too.

Help finding YouTube videos
If anyone knows of any railroad YouTube videos of cars up close moving slow and creating flange squeal, I would appreciate the links.

Ingalls 4-S
Greetings all,
I've gotten a job to install a sound decoder in a brass Ingalls 4-S. Doing research I know this loco had some type of marine V-8 in it but I have no idea what kind. My question is has anyone done a install for this engine and if so what decoder was used? Of course I would prefer using a Soundtraxx if I can.
Thanks in advance!

Question about JMRI Panel Pro
I have downloaded and installed the latest version of JMRI and would like to use it to create a panel to assist in dispatching my railroad. Do I need to complete all of the info regarding trains, routes etc. etc in the dispatcher section or can I just create a Panel and click on the track diagram to indicate train position as engineers OS?
Computer to DCC
I hope this dont start a big commotion...but I have a digitrax Zephyr, and few different computers running windows XP and Windows 7. What would be the best connection path for DCC to Computer for me to run Decoder Pro and dabble into the JMRI realm? I know digiteax makes items has a brand new 4 version box. I've seen sprog mentioned loco buffer. Is there one or any other way that stands out??

Installing Atlas 2 part couplers in DCC GP38-2
Hello,
Atlas were nice enough to send me a replacement truck assembly for my new Trainman DCC GP38-2..unfortunately the rear truck was spinning.. Anyway in my trial and error of disassembling the body, which was no problem except for the mini tooled in screws under the fuel tank holding the chassis to the weight, I dremeled them out..voila problem solved. Locomotive runs as it should. :)
