Book review: Run like a Dream: TRACKWORK
I have recently had the pleasure of buying and reading most of the first book in the make it run like a dream series. To say I am favorably impressed would be a massive understatement. Unlike lots of lone wolf type modelers I am a member of a club with some fairly talented members. The advantage to this for me is learning from note worthy folks on an individual basis.

DOES ANYONE MAKE trolley- traction- interurban- sound decoders ?
Hi MRH friends I am thinking of adding a section to my future model RR devoted to traction and possibly the Montreal And Southern Counties (M&SC) or The Quebec Railway Light & Power (QRL&P) and I am wondering if anyone knows of a manufacturer of decoders having sound/motor decoders or if anyone makes sound files available for trams. Are there any modelers who are modeling one of the above mentioned traction lines or any other for that matter. Thanks for any help my friends. From Emile up here in Quebec Canada.

How do you improve electrical pickup in locos with contacts embedded in the sideframe (BLI, Genesis, Kato, etc)?
While testing a decoder install in a Broadway Limited SW1500, it would occasionally stall for no apparent reason. To get it going again, all I would need to do is push one of the axles all the way to one side.

Proto 1000 DCC installation
Has anyone on the forum tried to use the plug in 8 pin type of decoders in the Proto 1000/2000 Models? The printed circuit board inside of these models clearly show where to cut traces in the copper, in order to isolate the motor and be able to plug in the 8 pin decoder, 6 pins are all that's used on FT, F3, F7, and so on due to no rear headlight. I am just curious if anyone has had success with doing an installation that way as opposed to completely replacing the existing printed circuit board with the solder tab type of decoder board.
Led Circuit Board for LED wiring
I have been looking for a circuit board on to which I can solder surface mount resistors. On one side I could solder the wire from a decoder, on the other side I could solder the wire to an LED. Between the wires are two pads to solder a surface mount resistor. I think I've seen this advertised before, and I'm simply not finding it. Any help?
