Converting to DCC with Arduino Mega 2560 R3 - need software help
I am converting to DCC. I am using Arduino Mega 2560 R3's to run things. I need to get started with a good software base. Does anyone have a good suggestion? I have a tablet and a droidmax phone that I hope to use as controller interfaces.
Modeling Grain Elevators and Feed Mills
Throughout the late 1960s up through the 1990s it seems to me our hobby was heavily focused on the coal mining industry in the Appalachians and even the Rockies. However, these days there is much more attention being directed at the Midwest and even eastern farming areas where both industry and agriculture coexisted. This blog is about modeling grain elevators and feed mills along with supporting industry and operations.
Progress....
Progress today on the current project! Quite pleased with this side of the car which is finished. Rust wash applied in certain spots, and a new technique used on the door. On to the other side tomorrow. More photos when finished...
Next car up!
Here are two photos of the next project, first photo of course is the Walther’s car right out of the box. Second photo is progress so far. More photos when finished....

Project Teaser-What is it?
I'm starting a new project, and at the same time attempting to give Joe a article to publish, so I won't post too many details here but here are a few teaser photos. So far everything seen in these photos has been from the scrap box. Okay, well I did spend 80 cents on the 'hubcap' at my local hardware store.
Model wheel diameter question in S or O scale?
Anyone in this group know of train wheels available in the range of .344" to .550" in diameter? Either including the flange or not including the flange?
I'm in the process of building a MOW crane in 1\29 scale and I need some Hy Rail wheels. HO wheels are way to small, so I'm thinking it will have to be either S or O scale.
Suggestions?
Craig
Well worn gondola....
Here's the latest project, this one a Tangent PC gondola, heavily weathered with acrylics, including rust paint, plus a rust texture added last. COTS stencils also added:
Let’s see your fascia!
A WPF recently got sidetracked over fascia design and color. I really found everyone’s design and choices interesting. Please post yours here or ideas for making it more attractive, efficient, useful, etc.
Thanks!
Neil
