I'll get this rolling with a close up photo of a locomotive I'm doing a First Look on.... until I took a photo, I hadn't even noticed the 74V sign.
DC problem with one loco
Hi, everyone,
this is the first time I use this forum so bear with me pls...I have a small HO layout with dc control. I dont think I need dcc just yet although this may change if i can't fix this problem. My problem is with one of my loco, an Athearn GP7. When I place it on the track and run it she starts fine but within approximately 5 to 6 ft she gradually slows down and comes to a stop. when that happens I have to shut everything down and wait a while before she'll run again.
Any Idea/help would be appreciated.

How Many Tools Can You Count?
I'm installing switches, track and ground throws in Angela's Landing. I keep getting out more tools. It's amazing how many we accumulate. How many can you count in the photo below?
Scratchbuilding a Small Workshop
First time I've ever tried to do this, so please let me know if I'm going about it all wrong!
Thought I would make a post about scratchbuilding this small workshop:
For the record, this is the very first complete scratchbuild I have ever done. Ever.

Live Clinics vs. YouTube Presentations (or both?)
There is another live series of clinics planned for May 16th - 17th.
Some of the comments and criticism of the one done this last weekend hurt but were certainly deserved. I am leaning toward a pre-filmed presentation with voice over. The camera would be fixed in my workbench. I use my iPhone 11 Pro with a tripod and Movie Maker to edit and do titles and the voice over.
Installing Tortoise on the top of the benchwork?
Hi everyone,
I am about to make some revisions on my trackplan and this involves having a couple of turnouts leading to spurs/sidings off the mainline, placed on areas where installation of the tortoises is not possible below the benchwork. Is there a preferred/recommended way of installing the tortoises on the top? I can figure out scenic ways to disguise the motors themselves using structures.
DC only Controller
I have Digitrax DB150 and DT400 for my DCC locos, and I want to be able to run my older locos which I have a bunch of on DC. I realize I cannot use both systems

i do have 10 volts coming into the box and I do have a multimeter.
