Building A Piece Of History Now: Thurmond West Virginia-Backdrops 10/29

I am working on a design for a small scene for demonstrating scenery and track work for out model railroad. It will be small (roughly 1ft. x 1ft. with the front curving) I am looking for design ideas and what an interesting scene would be. Any ideas from those on here?

Thanks for all of your suggestions everyone. Thurmand seemed like a good location and the below area is what we will model. It will include a cantilever signal seen on the right and the three buildings as low relief background structures.

G Scale running problems

Greetings everyone,

Hunting for simple signals in N scale (rookie question)

Placing this here as I'm definitely new to signals (slightly less new to the rest of the hobby, mind).

I'm looking at adding a searchlight signal (at most two) to what is effectively a 'small n scale switching layout'. I put that in quotes because it's really a scenic area connected to quite a lot of bare staging, some of which may or may not be getting fully modeled later on.

N Scale and Railpro -- good news!

On Saturday, I sent the folks at RailPro an e-mail asking them to someday produce a locomotive module for N scale.

Not only was I delighted by their fast reply, what they said delighted me too.

Are any of these controllers safe to use?

Does anyone know if it is safe for me to use these? Also what is Full vs. Pulse Power?

Electrical circuit connection ho walthers swing bridge

Hi to all.

Can anyone here give some help about electrical circuit connection for ho walthers swing bridge? I´m talking about  the Universal Gearbox & Motor Drive Kit (933-1050).
The manual is clear about its construction, but does not give me an specific idea how fit it and putting together into the structure.

Thanks, Mario.

cables/plugs for connecting remote control box?

Due to the limited size of our portable layout I have built a control box that will plug into the main layout for operation.
